"Pins"

Subject: Pins

Angela

Hello everyone.

I have memory of a snippit of a dream from last night. Inside an envelope were two round pins. The kind that you collect as a 10 year old. I think there was a piece of paper between them. And I think the pins were red.

In the mail today arrived an express post envelope from my father. He was sending his investment into the buying of my neighbour's house. Along with the cheque (that was $3000 short, btw) was a round pin. It says 'Turn Your Trash Into Cash'. It is bright pink and is an advertisment for a village wide yard sale where my parent's live.

I thought, also, how I used the word 'pin' in my posting last night regarding pinning down one's present. I'd paused on the word when I wrote it last night.

There are a bunch of nerves regarding buying this house, as there are with any big purchase or move. It seems trivial in light of all the deeper things that occur on this forum, but I can't seem to just gloss over the synchronicity of the pin/pins.

Then I opened a Safeway flyer and flipped through it to see that exact same bag of cat food, from many synchs. ago, on sale. Sorry if I've lost anyone on the cat food. It's a long story... This synching thing is exhausting.

Any ideas? Nothing has been finalized on the buy of the house. So, I'm wondering if it is the right move after all. I'm worried about getting myself in a position where I could be overextended. But I feel that I would kick myself if I let the opportunity pass me by once again.

Angela.

Angela,

Take this for what it's worth. What helps me is to imagine or daydream about something new, then pretend I'm in the daydream, living it out, as if the decision has been made. Then I check out how I feel in my gut. If I'm relaxed and easy, it's probably right for me. If not, not. I've only done this a couple of times, so I don't have a long history with this method.

"village wide yard sale".........................."neighbours house sale "....."cat food is on sale".........."pinning down one's present"............Bloody Hell are you waiting for a bus to drive by with "buy the bloody house Angela" written on the side in order to see the syncs.Maybe a Carpaccio painting to appear on the side of the house.Ha

Just kidding m'dear. I could not tell you how to decide something that big anymore than I could tell SD how to make the decision she brings up. Just telling you what I see in the syncs

You crack me up! Thanks Liam. And thanks Rick. Both methods are highly effective for me -- the 'think and feel' it out one and the 'it's knocking you over the head one.'

Bus stop is right in front of the neighbour's house, Liam. I've been watching...

Okay, I'm done looking for signs. If the numbers work out from the bank tomorrow, I'm in! Don't know where the cold feet came from...

WHAT IS
SYNCHRONICITY?

Jane Teresa's Explanation

Jane Teresa Anderson

WHAT IS SYNCHRONICITY?

________

Synchronicity occurs when you experience a coincidence, or several coincidences, that seem so bizarre that you feel they must be meaningful in some way.

Some people believe that synchronicities are signs to follow, to lead you to where you are 'meant' to be. My understanding, however, is that not all synchronicities are to be followed, because ...

Synchronicities are SYMBOLS of where you're at, not signs to follow.

Synchronicities speak the same symbolic language as dreams.

When you experience a synchronicity, you are witnessing a change within yourself, an insight, a birth of something that has been unconscious bubbling up into consciousness.

At such times of change we see, all around us, symbols that reflect our shift in perception and self-understanding. This is synchronicity.

To understand this fully, and to see why it is not always appropriate to follow synchronicity, you can read my book, THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME. This way you can also discover how to read the synchronicities in your life and how to act on them in positive, life-enhancing ways.

Reality may never feel the same again!

______

P.S.

In Jungian terms all synchronicities begin with a dream.

The dream comes first, then the symbol from the dream appears in waking life in ways that seem incredibly meaningful - though, classically, it is hard to understand, consciously, what that meaning is.

This is because the dream is painted by your unconscious mind in advance of your conscious mind 'catching up'. When the insight (unconscious shift) is big, synchronicities follow.

What happens is that your incredibly powerful unconscious mind (far more powerful than your conscious mind) manifests its insight physically into your waking life. (You have changed - the world, as you experience it, changes in accordance.)

It usually takes up to a couple of weeks before your conscious mind understands the symbolic dream manifesting in your waking life as synchronicity.

Being human, as we all are, we often forget the original dream but still experience the synchronicities.

There are many excellent reference sources on Jungian synchronicity.

My approach is largely Jungian, but slightly shifted.

Again, if you are seriously in-depth interested, I suggest you read my book "THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME" to understand where I am coming from.

Quite simply, synchronicity is a waking dream and interpreting it as such is immensely enriching.
