"Losing Earrings"

Author

Subject: Losing Earrings

JuliA

I keep losing a left earring when I'm with my boyfriend. Like, never to be seen again, not just falling off!

The first time I lost an earring was the night we first kissed in Hyde Park. I didn't realise till I got home. I bought a new pair.

The second time was during our Easter Vacation, a time when we became a lot closer and dropped a lot of boundaries. I bought a new pair.

Lately though, at work (he works here too, I'm on the 5th floor, he's on the 4th) the girls keep telling me my left earring is about to fall out and I'm able to secure it again just as its about to fall out!!?!?!?!

Hi JuliA.

That's a riot! Are we moving into the body-part phase of synchronistic events?

It is also interesting because just two nights ago I was thinking through some of my first memories of precognitive dreams and there was one about a lost earring. I dreamt I had found my lost earring in the long grass on a beach. I had in fact lost it there weeks earlier while strolling the beach with my first boyfriend. We returned the following day. I walked straight to the point I had seen it in my dream and sure enough, it was there.

A few years later I lost an earring at a dance with another boyfriend. It was a tiny pearl and I had the strangest feeling that I would find it. About an hour later I did, amidst flashing strobe lighting and all...

I have to admit that I cannot remember which ear either had fallen from, but that might be significant for you. What if the left ear is representing the left-brain since it has been the topic of much discussion these days? Are you leaning to a particular way of thinking when you are with your boyfriend?

I'm feeling that there is some kind of opening here. Don't have a clue what I'm talking about, but I was just attempting to read some of those classic poets we mentioned in other posts earlier this evening. I was reading a poem by Byron (though he was not mentioned) and you came to mind because he was wailing about a 'Julia'. Then I popped in here before bed (for my fix!)and here you are and even synching with those thoughts I'd had two nights ago. Ah! This has also just twigged the fact that I dreamt about that spider with the one earring (dream forum). I was trying to think of what I came to, but the earring did remain a mystery to me. Ears are ringing...? Bells? Anyone?

Angela.

JuliA:

The 'earring' discussion has branched over into the Members' Forum due to some synchronous posts there. Go over and start under Carole's post on Jewels ...

Angela I know this is going on in the members forum but I just wanted to thank you for your invaluable feedback.

Yes I am leaning to a particular way of thinking and in particular (you'll love this) learning detachment. I can get very emotional and in fact get carried away by my emotions, negative or positive. I tend to feel a lot calmer around "E". I also have a lot more confidence about what it is I want to do in the future.

Yes my ears are ringing!!!!

and Angela........ Byron is one of my favourite poets....... "she walks through the night......"

Thanks!

Hi JuliA.

In addition to the brilliant 'detachment' discovery, note the 'E' -- Earring. Say it really fast... Yes? No? Am I over the top?

Poetry and synchronicity... again.

Angela.

Hi Angela

That's cute! I hadn't thought of that....... I had thought of erring (to you know err is human....!?)

Here's to gems of wisdoms and having an awesome day!

Funny you should say that, lately at work I seem to be find ear rings, over the last month I have found 3 two belonging to the same person. Also I have found an engagement ring, a small gold ingot, a watch, a womans hand bag and a silver mother Mary with a baby. All in the last month and I am not even looking for them. They just turn up in my daily/weekly walks.

WHAT IS
SYNCHRONICITY?

Jane Teresa's Explanation

Jane Teresa Anderson

WHAT IS SYNCHRONICITY?

________

Synchronicity occurs when you experience a coincidence, or several coincidences, that seem so bizarre that you feel they must be meaningful in some way.

Some people believe that synchronicities are signs to follow, to lead you to where you are 'meant' to be. My understanding, however, is that not all synchronicities are to be followed, because ...

Synchronicities are SYMBOLS of where you're at, not signs to follow.

Synchronicities speak the same symbolic language as dreams.

When you experience a synchronicity, you are witnessing a change within yourself, an insight, a birth of something that has been unconscious bubbling up into consciousness.

At such times of change we see, all around us, symbols that reflect our shift in perception and self-understanding. This is synchronicity.

To understand this fully, and to see why it is not always appropriate to follow synchronicity, you can read my book, THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME. This way you can also discover how to read the synchronicities in your life and how to act on them in positive, life-enhancing ways.

Reality may never feel the same again!

______

P.S.

In Jungian terms all synchronicities begin with a dream.

The dream comes first, then the symbol from the dream appears in waking life in ways that seem incredibly meaningful - though, classically, it is hard to understand, consciously, what that meaning is.

This is because the dream is painted by your unconscious mind in advance of your conscious mind 'catching up'. When the insight (unconscious shift) is big, synchronicities follow.

What happens is that your incredibly powerful unconscious mind (far more powerful than your conscious mind) manifests its insight physically into your waking life. (You have changed - the world, as you experience it, changes in accordance.)

It usually takes up to a couple of weeks before your conscious mind understands the symbolic dream manifesting in your waking life as synchronicity.

Being human, as we all are, we often forget the original dream but still experience the synchronicities.

There are many excellent reference sources on Jungian synchronicity.

My approach is largely Jungian, but slightly shifted.

Again, if you are seriously in-depth interested, I suggest you read my book "THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME" to understand where I am coming from.

Quite simply, synchronicity is a waking dream and interpreting it as such is immensely enriching.
