"Shuttle Columbia"

Author

Subject: Shuttle Columbia

Last week I was avidly watching the science experiments designed in Australia for the flight of columbia, regarding the spiders which were included for looking at how they build webs in zero gravity. webs are like mandalas, depictions of manifestation from source, the centre point, the point where there is no-thing, and from where all else emanates. I was fascinated to see the shapes being produced by the spiders, somewhat different from gravity efforts.

Yesterday Saturday, I cut out with scissors a section from the Gold Coast bulletin on the launch of Columbia, and the best tips for viewing a launch from a travel/holiday point of view. I have decided to go there some day when I am wealthy and view a launch into space.

Today, Sunday, on the net and TV, Columbia disintegrates on re-entry to the atmosphere and all life is lost, including the spider experiment. An Australian school student is waiting for touchdown and is directly involved with the spider experiment.

Effort without expectation, cut, transition and transcendence I feel. Sadness too for the loved ones.

Prequel:

It is (as I remember) 1984 and I was sitting in the loungeroom in Prahran, Melbourne, assembling a model. The model is of space shuttle Challenger, and it was almost complete.

The news came on TV, and the first thing that was seen as a newsflash was the real Challenger disintegrating in the sky after liftoff.

I never did finish that model properly, and was depressed for about a week after the event.

Quite extraordinary, Oobe. I wonder how the latest disaster is affecting you? From your last sentence I assume that you have moved on in the way you view these things now.

I know I have. I recall being in a lift and hearing about Challenger and feeling quite devastated. Seeing things from a metaphysical and symbolic viewpoint gives a whole different perspective. Just the fact that I was in a lift going down when I heard the news has a different meaning to me now.

What I often think of when I hear about accidents of this kind is that, given the logistics of this type of exercise, it is miraculous that there aren't more disasters.

When I'm in the city I often imagine myself viewing the scene from above and am awestruck at the way everything synchronises with relative ease.

Hi Oobe and Gloria,

I also look at the metaphysical and symbolic meanings of such events.

The meaning I took from this one is that maybe until one is comfortable and familiar with the journey into "inner space", then any journeys into outer space are fraught with danger.

All events have multiple layers of meaning, I've decided, so this meaning could be just one of a multitude, and will only convey its message to those who are looking in the same direction.

Hi Lena & Gloria,

Yes, Lena, I think that is how I view the events, reflections on how my inner view handles the external changes.

Gloria, what goes up comes down hey?

WHAT IS
SYNCHRONICITY?

Jane Teresa's Explanation

Jane Teresa Anderson

WHAT IS SYNCHRONICITY?

________

Synchronicity occurs when you experience a coincidence, or several coincidences, that seem so bizarre that you feel they must be meaningful in some way.

Some people believe that synchronicities are signs to follow, to lead you to where you are 'meant' to be. My understanding, however, is that not all synchronicities are to be followed, because ...

Synchronicities are SYMBOLS of where you're at, not signs to follow.

Synchronicities speak the same symbolic language as dreams.

When you experience a synchronicity, you are witnessing a change within yourself, an insight, a birth of something that has been unconscious bubbling up into consciousness.

At such times of change we see, all around us, symbols that reflect our shift in perception and self-understanding. This is synchronicity.

To understand this fully, and to see why it is not always appropriate to follow synchronicity, you can read my book, THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME. This way you can also discover how to read the synchronicities in your life and how to act on them in positive, life-enhancing ways.

Reality may never feel the same again!

______

P.S.

In Jungian terms all synchronicities begin with a dream.

The dream comes first, then the symbol from the dream appears in waking life in ways that seem incredibly meaningful - though, classically, it is hard to understand, consciously, what that meaning is.

This is because the dream is painted by your unconscious mind in advance of your conscious mind 'catching up'. When the insight (unconscious shift) is big, synchronicities follow.

What happens is that your incredibly powerful unconscious mind (far more powerful than your conscious mind) manifests its insight physically into your waking life. (You have changed - the world, as you experience it, changes in accordance.)

It usually takes up to a couple of weeks before your conscious mind understands the symbolic dream manifesting in your waking life as synchronicity.

Being human, as we all are, we often forget the original dream but still experience the synchronicities.

There are many excellent reference sources on Jungian synchronicity.

My approach is largely Jungian, but slightly shifted.

Again, if you are seriously in-depth interested, I suggest you read my book "THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME" to understand where I am coming from.

Quite simply, synchronicity is a waking dream and interpreting it as such is immensely enriching.

is immensely enriching."
