Subject: House and shops

I was living in this Housing Commission house (which I don't).

When I looked through the window it was like looking down a cliff. The house had a septic toilet, and I could see all the shit.

Next I could see 2 shops. The doors to the shops had a plastic see-through tent shaped cover that you had to walk through to get to the shops. I also felt that the entrance to the shops was protected from the wind and rain.

Hi Yvonne,

Dreams sometimes use plays on words, so it could be that your Housing Commission house is symbolically referring to a commission you are considering at the moment.

If not, then look at the house as symbolising your mind, as this is the general representation of a house in a dream.

How would you feel if you DID live in a Housing Commission house? What would have to happen in your life first to result in living in a HC house? How would you feel about this set of circumstances? Now - are these feelings familiar to something going on in your life now?

Toilets and faecal matter can symbolise all the crap you're feeling in your life, or that you're trying to shift in your life ... and the plastic see through tent sounds to me like the wrapping you put on new things. Buildings under construction can be tented like this. Shops can symbolise choice in dreams. However plastic may also represent false or superficial ....

So are you getting rid of a lot of crap in your life and do you realise the number of choices you have to construct new ways of thinking and being? Are they superficial (plastic) or can you move beyond into the deeper areas within yourself?

Could be with the cliff that you feel on a cliff edge ...

Two shops .. two areas of choice perhaps?

Just some starting points Yvonne ..in answering the questions you may feel things shift into perspective.

Hi Jane, Thank you for your reply. Many of the points you made are valid, as I don't feel too good about myself and my life at the moment.

Hi Yvonne,

That sounds like a good starting point. Things, events, ways of thinking and feelings we value and protect in one phase of life can become out-dated and inappropriate in another phase of life.

As we move on we need to let go of the old stuff which is no longer appropriate to our life and who we are becoming.

The old value systems become the crap we wish to clear out.

The fact that you've had this dream shows that you are ready to go through this process: ready to re-evaluate certain aspcts of your life and past ways of being.

This can leave you feeling low to start with, as old values turn to 'crap', but as you recognise your readiness for positive changes, your dreams begin to show you HOW to clear the crap, what is in your way, how to deal with it ... and, best of all, where to move on to and how ...

Congratulations and blessings on your wonderful new journey Yvonne.
