"More Numbers"

Author

Subject: More Numbers

Hi everyone...I am looking for info on threes.

When I first started looking through the dream forum I posted two dreams that had to do with threes...one with three teeth being removed and the other with three babies. Then I found myself having synchs with other peoples dream postings...often in threes.

Last night, I read a post in the members forum and then went in search of a new journal. I knew I had an old one that I had only written in for a few weeks. When I found the journal the last entry was dated THREE years and THREE days ago and ended unsigned (which I usually do) and with the phrase...'The air just seemed loaded with possibilities'. And that was that. Then I realized that the journal was emerald green and was handmade in India (both synchs with a posting I had just read in the members forum) The India thing also because in the interim three years that I hadn't used the journal, I had been to India.

Also, the time period covered in this book was from January to March 1998 - the exact same time period three years later that I have been married! I was married Jan 1 2001 and it is now March. Also, the guy I was dating at the time had an 'M' name, and my husband also has an 'M' name...so when I read through the entries I found references to the guy in my life as'M', the same as now.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this one?

L. Ps I also posted a dream where I synched with the numbers 501 which were posted in tbrown's numbers post....

Hi LB,

I'm commenting on the synchronicity of your posts three years ago with what is happening in your life today:

As you know, many of my dreams are precognitive - and those of you who know my work well also know my understanding that precognition is really a form of synchronicity viewed without the constraints of linear time.

My precognitive dreams usually occur within 1 - 14 days of the event. Mostly they occur 1,2, 10 and 14 days beforehand.

However, when I look back through my huge collection of Dream Journals (an incredibly daunting task) I am always astounded by what I discover. Usually I go back to check one detail, a hum of a memory of something significant previewed in a dream a few years before.

In this way I have found whole sequences of dreams occuring several years before the current sequence of events they are synchronising with. (If I use the word 'precognitive' instead of synchronicity, I can tell you that the dreams are not just reflecting life's grand themes which revisit us all in cycles, but that they contain specific details : people, places, names and so on.)

The KEY DIFFERENCE is that the older sequence of dreams generally have a different final outcome to the present sequence of events. For example, the older sequence (while making perfect symbolic sense at the time they were dreamed), present a situation which I handle differently in the present to how I handled it in the past.

It's as if an opportunity that was missed back then is re-presented... only this time I may choose to handle it differently .. and so the outcome may be changed.

For me this illustrates perfectly the wonderful blend of awe in precognition (a feeling of 'destiny') with total freedom of choice (in how to handle a situation, what choices to make and, therefore, how the final outcome will be).

On a grander life view, this reminds me that we never really miss opportunities ... they are always offered to us again, when we are wiser or better equipped to make different choices.

I can point to spectacular cycles of "opportunities re-presented" in my life, with such specific detail that they blow me away every time. In all of these, it is not just recognition of the pattern, but also keying into the symbolism of the synchronicities which draws my attention to the magnificence of it all. I have to reiterate, here, the stunning accuracy of specific detail presented and previewed.

It is, at once, both clarity and mystery, both choice and 'destiny'.

I suspect, LB, that you are going through something similar here. And I also suspect that your number theme is symbolic of patterning ... numbers are, of course, concepts only .. ways of trying to describe, represent and predict the patterns of life. (Spoken by a true non-mathematician and open to correction!)

Hi LB-

Where did you post your 501 synch? Incidentally, I noticed that you said you were married this past Jan 1. I celebrated new years at a party and was seated at table 105 at the celebration. Wierd coincidence. Or maybe some kind of cosmic/psychic link that is telling us something....;) haha

Hi Jane and T,

Jane, Thank you for your insightful posting. When I examine my life for these cycles of opportunities that have re-occurred, I find THREE major ones in the area of relationships. A high school relationship with 'R', that ended what I always felt was prematurely, and ended with me taking the burden and blame and responsibility for 'ruining his life' and carrying that with me. The second, to 'M' mentioned above, almost seemed a continuation of the first. Although it occured many years later. We got to a different stage in the relationship, we were living together, but very soon after making that decision, I was in a serious car accident and the relationship also crashed. Suddenly and traumatically. Now I am married to 'M'. We have taken that next step, but now I am feeling the fear and insecurity that pervaded my last relationships again. Albeit much later in the game. All three guys have very similar personality traits, and have many characteristics in commmon. Most notable that 'R' and my husband are both lawyers.

Following your thread Jane, this would be the opportunity re-presenting itself to be carried through to a different conclusion?

So does that mean I should look for more threes or more threes that connect to these past relationships? I guess at this point I am not sure what my next step is.

Tbrown,

I posted the 501 synch on the members forum, and the gyst of it was that I was acting in a play wearing my husbands 501's. It was in fact Angela who made the 501 connection in conjunction with your numbers posting...

And, talk about weird coincidence...or maybe not..go back and read Chris' posting about 'The power of three' (it is on the second page of the dream forum). Right after he posted the dream, I posted that I was having some interesting synchs with the dream...namely that I have an ex-lover named Tom, my husbands name starts with an M and that the song about Leroy Brown, is similar to my name 'LB'. Then later I read your posting with some very similar synchs to it. So was it you or him or both that I was relating to? With you there is the added synch of the last name....Then it was only a week or so later that I had a dream in which the 501 numbers came into play, synching me back to you again! What do you make of that?

thank you both LB

Hey ho LB!

Three is usually related to creativity, i.e. 'it takes two to tango' tango being the result! It can also be related to the trinity, and in forming a triangle, bringing spirit manifest. It is usually considered quite a spiritual number, and highly creative and inspirational.

You might also like to look at word games with three - free. Three is also an anagram of "there". Maybe in it all, there is an opportunity to transecnd any perceived difficulties with the freedom of creative problem-solving... how's that for an answer that ain't quite an answer but a push for further delving... hehehehe...

Short and sweet - hope that helps! :-))

I have a theme of threes also, usually three months.

Almost every one of my boyfriends in my life has lasted 3 months and then we would break up. And my last boyfriend lasted 1 year and 3 months, I thought it was a year and four months, but the relationship ended in March. No, it was one year and four months because the relationship started in November. oh well. Still it ended on the third month of the year.

I had 3 jobs that lasted for 3 months, and 3 jobs that lasted for one year.

LB: I have no idea WHAT to make of that. However, I identify with Donni's comment about trancending perceived difficulties with the freedom of creative problem-solving. Of course, we all have perceived difficulties.

Maybe I'll start thinking a little more creatively this week and see where it gets m

WHAT IS
SYNCHRONICITY?

Jane Teresa's Explanation

Jane Teresa Anderson

WHAT IS SYNCHRONICITY?

________

Synchronicity occurs when you experience a coincidence, or several coincidences, that seem so bizarre that you feel they must be meaningful in some way.

Some people believe that synchronicities are signs to follow, to lead you to where you are 'meant' to be. My understanding, however, is that not all synchronicities are to be followed, because ...

Synchronicities are SYMBOLS of where you're at, not signs to follow.

Synchronicities speak the same symbolic language as dreams.

When you experience a synchronicity, you are witnessing a change within yourself, an insight, a birth of something that has been unconscious bubbling up into consciousness.

At such times of change we see, all around us, symbols that reflect our shift in perception and self-understanding. This is synchronicity.

To understand this fully, and to see why it is not always appropriate to follow synchronicity, you can read my book, THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME. This way you can also discover how to read the synchronicities in your life and how to act on them in positive, life-enhancing ways.

Reality may never feel the same again!

______

P.S.

In Jungian terms all synchronicities begin with a dream.

The dream comes first, then the symbol from the dream appears in waking life in ways that seem incredibly meaningful - though, classically, it is hard to understand, consciously, what that meaning is.

This is because the dream is painted by your unconscious mind in advance of your conscious mind 'catching up'. When the insight (unconscious shift) is big, synchronicities follow.

What happens is that your incredibly powerful unconscious mind (far more powerful than your conscious mind) manifests its insight physically into your waking life. (You have changed - the world, as you experience it, changes in accordance.)

It usually takes up to a couple of weeks before your conscious mind understands the symbolic dream manifesting in your waking life as synchronicity.

Being human, as we all are, we often forget the original dream but still experience the synchronicities.

There are many excellent reference sources on Jungian synchronicity.

My approach is largely Jungian, but slightly shifted.

Again, if you are seriously in-depth interested, I suggest you read my book "THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME" to understand where I am coming from.

Quite simply, synchronicity is a waking dream and interpreting it as such is immensely enriching.
