I was watching the news and there was a picture of this hole with cement all around it. Around the rim of the hole were painted red checkered squares.

The news anchor guy announced that because the groundhog had seen its shadow, we would have nine more months of winter.

Later music was playing and somebody was saying that a certain person shared the characteristics of the music.

Note:

This dream kept being interrupted by my radio alarm clock. Perhaps it was even influenced by it. My alarm clock kept going off and I would push the snooze button.

This may be obvious, but all I can think of is Groundhog Day (the film) where the first thing we see each morning is the alarm clock. Indicates repetition, boredom, being stuck in a rut. Or, having the chance to undo what you did the day before.

I just saw a movie kind of like that. It wasn't Groundhog day, but it was a German movie called Run Lola Run. She went through a certain senario 3 different times making slightly different choices each time. It was quite interesting.

Yep, Run Lola Run is an excellent film. But, does it relate in any way? Are you worried about some choices made lately? And maybe the 9 months thing is important - if something doesn't change now, are you in for 9 more months of 'winter' (cold? dark? miserable? hybernation? rest period?).

I would also add that the hole with the checker board pattern is significant. Think of games that are played on checker boards.......most of them are games of strategy....are you or do you need to be strategic about something.........or was it like a Chess board....do you feel like a pawn in some ones game. Also....the hole with cement around it....are you feeling cemented in to something......looking for an escape maybe. Is this a whole in a wall perhaps. Things to consider

The groundhog sees his shadow and goes back into his hole because he is afraid of himself. He hibernates for 9 more months.

The only choice I made that I have to complete, that I'm CEMENTED into is graduating from college. My family halfway made this choice for me, and I halfway made the choice on my own.

In going to College it is part of a strategy to success. To get better jobs, etc.
