In my room was a birdcage containing two lovebirds which was suspended over my bed. On the other side of the room was a cage with a single lovebird in it.

I knew the single bird had to be alone as lovebirds cannot live together in groups but rather need to be in pairs. I wanted to take the single lovebird out of his cage. I had a vague memory of a time when the lovebird enjoyed being out of its cage and free on its own.

Next I went to the cage with the two birds and placed two things inside: a piece of garlic and either an onion or a piece of ginger.

I went into the next room and spoke to Tom (an ex lover). He showed me his new phone and then he showed me three words all starting with T, something like tougher, taller.

Then Tom said, "Don't laugh." (In the dream Tom was short).

I returned to my room and noticed water on the bed. I was puzzled at how it had got there. Then I noticed the birdcage was on the floor and the water glass in it was broken. Ah! I thought, that explains the water.

I returned the bird to its cage and then noticed that the cage with the two lovebirds was all busted up. The bars were twisted, bent and razor sharp like barbed wire.

I attempted to bend the bars so the bird could escape but I only managed to cut my hands. Eventually the birds crawled up my bleeding hands and flew to safety.

Suddenly three words escaped my lips, all starting with M, something like mangled, mended.

I next walked outside the house. It was a big old house, perhaps Gothic church. I found a fence that closed off an old road, jumped the fence, and walked down the road which led to the rear of the house. I looked up and saw three round gothic windows. I realised that my room was one of those windows, but which one?

I had only been aware of two rooms in the house. There was obviously a third. The house was on huge cliff and this road led down to the bottom.

Next I saw three ladies standing on an old stage. The boards were rotten and some were missing. One of the ladies was the President’s wife. Suddenly a missile came from the hills and went up her skirt but somehow I knew this would happen and was not surprised.

Then I had a flash back to the dream I had last night (a dream within a dream, freaky!) about being held by Will, my good friend, who showed me three single beds.

Suddenly I could hear everyone talking about the man who was coming soon. His name was Leroy Brown.

Note:

I remember Leroy Brown song: “Bad, bad Leroy Brown, the meanest man in the whole damn town.”

Hi Chris

I think this is one of those dreams where it contains a lot of very deep personal symbols that only you would be able to link back to your life.

I also think that because there is so much in this dream, instead of trying to figure out the meaning in one hit, it's best to break it down into small parts and then put it back together like a gigantic jigsaw puzzle.

So just to start things off, how did the dream make you feel overall? Do you think it relates to the recent situation with the guy?

Hi Chris, I'm not sure if this will shed any light onto your dream (I agree with Belinda's idea that the symbols are highly personal and by breaking it down, you will find it easier to understand your symbols), but I am having some interesting synchs with your dream description. I, too, have been dreaming about three's. First was a dream in which a couple was having their third child, and then three teeth were being pulled.

Next, I too have an ex-lover named Tom, my husbands name starts with M, and the song you remembered about Leroy Brown, well, my initials are LB. There is another 3 - three names that somehow connect.

More to think about! LB.

Too freaky LB! So what is the significance of three..... I have started to break the dream down peice by peice and yes ....alot of it does have to do with the guy I met and the lesson I am learning at the moment about love and beuty. But still ...the threes are bothering me.....

Its so interesting about your syncs with my dream LB.

Hi Chris,

I reckon that it is to do with resolving lingering emotional wounds. One train of thought is that the single bird is representative of you feeling caged when you used to feel free and the two birds symbolise you and your ex lover. Sacrifices and all or nothing thoughts come to mind. The hands that you use to reach out and touch are bleeding - needing healing. The pain caused by trying to help the "love birds". Residual sadness over Tom perhaps indicated by your perceptions of him being greater now you are not together. Your own "M" words seem good, like you were mangled and now mended or mending. The Gothic house possibly represents you when you think about things that bother you here. You seem like you didn't realise the house was of Gothic design - old and a bit freaky/scary/dark. Jumping the fence to go down the road could mean moving on. Three's in numerology usually mean positive things from my recollections but here I'm more inclined to wonder if they represent you the individual looking at/ or separating yourself from, you and him. Water spilt on the bed - relationship emotions spilling onto what was once a place of union and intimacy. I like that you have jumped the fence like you are going to walk down the road to the bottom - stop teetering on the edge of the cliff and ge to the bottom of it all or away from the old stuff. I have thoughts on the old ladies but i think I've already written enough. Your Leroy brown thing reminds me of ages ago when I was holding a black child and he was singing "Jeremiah was a bull frog"! That was a weird one as I didn't know the song's lyrics beyond the first two lines and rarely heard it. I think that's all you were meant to recall "baddest man in the whole damn town".

good luck,

J

What happened 3 years ago? 3 months ago? Something to happen in the 3rd month (March)?

In tarot the three is about celebration/ realisation after a new beginning, its meaning, generally speaking, is "this is great and what's next?". The three of swords is a card of great release, as was a theme in your dream......... releasing of the birds, releasing old wounds with Tom?

On a humorous note, I had to laugh, picturing you singing Leroy Brown............

So there was three sides to this story......as a side note, don't get caught up in three ie a triangle!!!! a love triangle or otherwise.

Chris-

I've read somewhere that houses are a symbol of the dreamer. When I read your dream description, what stood out to me was the third window that you didn't know about. If it were my dream, I'd be asking myself "what have I not yet discovered about myself".

Incidentally, my last name is also Brown, and my first name is Tom! There goes my anonymity, but it is worth pointing out the possible synch. "Bad, Bad, Tommy Brown, baddest man in the whole dang town, badder than 'ol king-kong, meaner than a junkyard dog". It kind of has a ring to it, although not a very accurate description of me.

Oh, and my girlfriend's name starts with an "M".

Three is a magic number, Yes it is, it's a magic number. Somewhere in the ancient, mystic trinity You get three as a magic number.

The past and the present and the future. Faith and Hope and Charity, The heart and the brain and the body Give you three as a magic number.

It takes three legs to make a tri-pod Or to make a table stand. It takes three wheels to make a ve-hicle Called a tricycle.

Every triangle has three corners, Every triangle has three sides, No more, no less. You don't have to guess. When it's three you can see It's a magic number.

A man and a woman had a little baby, Yes, they did. They had three in the family, And that's a magic number.

3-6-9, 12-15-18, 21-24-27, 30. 3-6-9, 12-15-18, 21-24-27, 30. Multiply backwards from three times ten:

Three time ten is (30), three times nine is (27), Three times eight is (24), three times seven is (21), Three times six is (18), three times five is (15), Three times four is twelve, And three times three is nine, and three times two is six, And three times one is three of course.

Now take the pattern once more: Three! . . .3-6-9 Twelve! . . .12-15-18 Twenty-one!. . .21-24-27. . .30

Now multiply from 10 backwards: Three time ten is (30 - Keep going), three times nine is (27), Three times eight is (24), three times seven is (21), Three times six is (18), three times five is (15), Three times four is twelve, And three times three is nine, and three times two is six, And three times one... What is it?! Three! Yeah, That's a magic number.

A man and a woman had a little baby. Yes, they did. They had three in the family. That's a magic number.
