I was new to employment in what seemed like another country.

A man was saying that it was so hot now that no vegetation could live without protection of the shade. I saw the brown parched land and I felt saddened. I thought, "What a shame that it is now barren where once there were so many trees."

But I saw some white flowers on the step by the door that the man and I had just come through. Then I saw more plants in the middle of the barrenness. We were in what seemed to be like a greenhouse or some sort of building.

I suddenly felt a little bit better. So I walked across the hot sand and met up with two other people: a woman, who looked like a friend of mine, and a man. The man said, "There is no God. I think that we all formed this life together." And I said, "Oh, I think there is a God. I think perhaps we formed this life with him." And the girl said, "We formed this life with him?" And I said, "Well, not exactly with him, but he is the center and we are all connected to him."

Another girl was hiding behind some file cabinets listening in to our conversation. When I saw her I screamed. Then I said something that I thought was, "Excuse Me!" three times, but it kind of sounded like I was saying, "Stupid!" The girl ran off as if she were offended. And I didn’t understand why she had run off. The man said, "We must have said something she didn’t like and now she’s going to tell others." I was kind of afraid that I might be fired for that.

Then we were all cartoon characters. We decided to go on a journey to the center of consciousness. There was a large lake. We had a black boat that we climbed in and rowed to the middle of the lake. Then one of the cartoon men insisted that we flip the boat over.

I said, "Why do you want to flip the boat over? That doesn’t make sense. We should keep the boat the way it is," but the man insisted and he flipped the black boat over throwing us all into the water.

Suddenly, the man shouted, "Let’s get out of here! It’s the super sucker squids!" I guess the super sucker squids were our archenemies. So I quickly swam across the lake to the shore where we had come from. The super sucker squids came after me all wearing some sort of space suit with helmets like that of Buzz Lightyear on Toy Story.

The squids came out of the water and came towards me. When the first one came near me I opened his helmet and he suffocated to death. The second one came and I opened his helmet until he suffocated to death. But there were more coming and one of them had seen me open the others’ helmets so he pushed a button to lock his helmet. I knew how to unlock the helmet and I struggled with him to find the lever to unlock the helmet.

All the while I was kind of worried about his other buddies that were coming up out of the water in their "space suits". The Super Sucker Squid had what looked like a rocket launcher on his arm. With this rocket launcher he could shoot his tentacle-like arm out, still attached to his body. At the end of the tentacle was a large suction cup. He shot this at me and the suction cup covered my nose and mouth.

I could breathe perfectly well, but I struggled with him like I couldn’t breathe because that was what was supposed to happen when a suction cup from a super sucker squid covered your nose and mouth.

Hi,

As with all dreamwork it is necessary to look at what the symbols mean for you personally and to treat absolutely everything in your dream as an aspect of yourself.

I have been working with this particular dream of yours most of the afternoon on and off and I have looked at some of your past posts because I sense I am pushing your buttons and that you are going through major changes which may not be easy ones for you to make without a little assistance which will make the transition a bit easier for you.

Obviously it is up to you to make the changes as no-one can do it for you. Whether you choose to hear and see the truth that lays within my responses to your posts or not is obviously up to you.

In relation to your name with the 21 on the end which you said in a previous post had stuck. Are you feeling stuck with an issue from that time?

In relation to this particular dream:-

New employment - playing a new role in life.

Another country - not familiar, foreign.

Land - physical body, physical life. What area or areas of your life currently feel barren?

Trees - Family Tree - Family Matters, Tree of Knowledge, Shamanic World Tree. A symbol of your life's development. Meaning depends on the type of tree or trees.

White - compassion and purity - flowering within once you walk through this next doorway.

More plants - more growth still to come.

Green House - Green - healing, growth, relates to the heart chakra. House/Building - State of mind.

Conversation with man and woman - adult masculine and feminine aspects of self debating as to the true nature of God. Contradictions present as to your belief in God and who/what God is.

Why do you refer to God as he? Did you not find the centre within yourself as you journeyed to the centre of consciousness?

Girl hiding - Part of self not wanting to be seen, part of self you are hiding. You scream as if frightened by her presence - why does she scare you and why do you treat her in the way you do by yelling at her and calling her stupid?

You don't understand why she is running away - could it be because you fear her?

File Cabinets - File - Store - what are you holding onto, storing within yourself that you don't want to see/acknowledge?

Cartoon Characters - Animation, Not Real, Childhood aspects.

Large Lake - Large body of water - emotions. Still waters run deep.

Black - Subconscious - darkness. Boat - Travelling through dark emotional times. Represents you and how you are handling your emotions.

Man tipping boat over - Adult masculine aspect of self - i.e. logical, rational, every day way of thinking and daily experiences currently in control and forcing you to get into your emotions and feel them fully.

Squid - Not disimilar to an Octopus.

Octopus - Powerful symbol of transformation. Tenacious, grasping, wise, shy and retreating.

Man shouting - get out of hear - message for you in your typo re here. This aspect of self not wanting to "hear" - not wanting transformation to occur, again running away.

Clothes - attitudes.

Space - time and space, foreign perhaps even alien, possibly empty and whatever else space means to you.

Suit - formal, conditioned way of thinking and believing.

Helmet - protects head. What are you trying to protect in relation to your present way of thinking and why?

You suffocating and trying to kill all the squid/octopus represents within yourself because you fear them.

However, after much struggling and pretending that aspect of you connects with you and you are absolutely fine, inspite of all you try to do to avoid it. You are back on the land when all this occurs and the internal changes you are forcing yourself to make will manifest in the physical.

Breath is life force, without it our bodies die.

The changes that are currently occuring within are inevitable and all the kicking, fussing, running away and pretending you try to do to stop these changes from happening at the end of the day is useless and you are indeed "waking up".

One very last thing, for the moment, that I just noticed was that in the beginning of your post you mention about it being so hot - the heat is indeed on and there is also something in nothing can live without protection of shade.

Will let you know when I get what that part is.

I have thought about this and I believe the answer may lay somewhere in the fact that until we face our darkness, (shade) the parts of Self we do not like, do not want to see and do not want to acknowledge which we do everything possible to protect ourselves from we truly cannot live.

Yesterday, I had come up with the same thought without looking at the dream again. I thought that at some point I would have to face my dark side in order to get past it. So in that I can see your interpretation as true.

I thank you for your ideas on this and I will think on them some more.
