Donald Bradman is being given a tour around an old house (outside).

A woman is giving him the tour. She is talking about "objects that were taken from the tornado" and points up to the wall of the house.

Embedded in the walls of the house are everyday items behind plastic, like cigarettes.

The two of them walk around the corner and there is a metal framed boat. It has no solid sides. It is a triangle with a parabolic base. The sail is literally just a triangle above the main boat. She explains that the original versions were made from wood, not steel like this one. She explains that the boats were used to "sail into tornados".

As she is talking an image springs up. It’s a rough sea and about 10 men are in this 15-20 foot boat. They are paddling hard and in unison, being urged on by the crew leader. He stands at the head of the boat. The men are rowing towards a tornado. As the get close, they stop rowing and the crew leader braces himself at the end of the boat by wrapping his arms around two vertical sections of wood. The boat is drawn up into the tornado (meanwhile in the back of the dream you can hear the woman telling the story to Donald).

The boat is seen disappearing up to the top of the tornado. It is the job of the crew master to grab whatever he can when he gets there. Suddenly the boat drops back into the water and the crew master opens his eyes.

He is holding Xena, warrior princess. She is nude. He is quite happy about this!! He turns around to tell the rest of the crew and finds that his whole crew is now naked Xenas. He is quite happy about this!

I bet he is!

Firstly welcome and what does Sir Don mean to you?

There is quite a lot in here and having just woken my head isn't really in an analytic space right now.

Will have a look later in the day and get back to you.

Sir Don means a few things to me literally speaking - a sporting icon however the whole "Donald Bradman arse kissing society" (e.g. Australia)grates at me a little. With all due respect to him, he was just a cricketer and seemingly a nice "bloke". I dont know if that answers your question (tangent is my middle name)

Ill await your unravelling efforts G

I just sat here for ages with this and did something (?) wrong when I posted it which caused all my work on it to not be posted, damn it!

I'll get it to you tomorrow because right now I need sleep. Sorry about that - been a long day.

In the meantime if you go to the Dream Gallery there is a very interesting series of questions/exercises you may like to try in relation to the Shipwreck picture which very well may assist with your understanding of this dream.

OK, I'm back and fingers crossed I don't do whatever I did last night!

All questions that follow are merely for you to ponder. I and others don't need to know the answers although some feedback from you usually helps.

I can only look at this as I would one of my dreams and no doubt others will have different perspectives which they may wish to add, important thing though is your perspective and what each symbol means to you. There is so much in this one that I cannot hope to possibly cover all of it but generally I came up with the following.

Sir Don - Ha, I fully relate to what you said, never could understand all the hype myself.

As most are probably aware he's dead now so in physical reality he represents something from the past.

I get the sense that you are possibly looking at something old from a new gentler feminine perspective. Something that has long been embedded in your way of thinking and that has possibly created a barrier in some way.

Plastic for me is a man-made, not natural substance which is see through and not real.

Cigarettes - addiction, smoke screen and butts are all that are left once they are gone.

Boats - things that come to mind are the old nursery rhyme "Row Row Row your boat, gently down the stream, Merrily Merrily Merrily LIFE IS BUTT (BUT) A DREAM!

For me they represent the physical in that we journey through our lives on a sea of emotions.

Tornados - Winds of Change (Strong winds of change), The Wizard of OZ - Oz fitting in with Sir Don and Aus (OZ), Twisters, Air, Spirit.

The boat you mention is constructed of a metal frame - framework of the physical, not a natural material and you also refer to it as steel - is there a pun happening in relation to steel - steal - something which has been or is being stolen.

The boat whilst the framework is solid has not sides, no solidity.

The wood (would) boat is being rowed entirely by male energy. Rowing compared to a motor is hard work albeit no doubt satisfying to some.

Rough Sea - stormy weather ahead??

Something you need to brace yourself for perhaps???

Is there something in the midst of the turmoil that you can grab hold of and bring back with you???

What does Xena mean for you??

For me she represents the feminine warrior within and because she is naked she is also extremely vulnerable.

Whatever is going on could it be that after you have ridden the storm and connected fully with your inner female warrior that all that hard slog male energy is magically transformed by allowing yourself to be vulnerable???

Which in fact will leave you feeling very happy indeed???

Hope that helps and my apologies for the delay.

wow! - thank you for your comments. You clearly have a strong interest given the time you devoted to my dream. I must admit that i rank dream interpretation (at least a great deal of what i have currently been exposed to) along with tarot and horoscopes. Its a touchy issue i guess, much like religion. If it works for someone and gives them a strong base from which to work from (and do good things) then who can really dismiss it or say its wrong. But people that know me will usually call me "cynical bastard" before anything else. I wrote the dream down here (and will write more in the future) because im interested more in what dreams mean to people than what my dreams say about me. When it comes time for me to interpret mine, i will Thank you again and i hope to see you here puzzling over another of my nocturnal concoctions G

You are not a minority in your ranking of dream interpretation. Many do not yet realise the power to change their lives when they have a proper understanding of what their nocturnal concoctions are actually revealing to them.

And yes I do have an extremely strong interest in dreams and an extremely strong passion in assisting others to realise for themselves the potential understanding them contains. Dreams are the greatest free gift and tool we all have access to nightly for personal growth and self awareness.

I look forward to the challenge of your future "nocturnal concoctions" and perhaps in time, you too, based purely on your own experiences and the input myself and others are only too happy to freely share will become a little less cynical.

"You may say I'm a Dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope one day you'll join us and the World will be as One." :)

Many Blessings for your journey G. Star.

Oh and just one other thought - Could your past scepticism and cynicism be the long embedded way of thinking that is creating the barrier????

Me thinks some big changes are about to occur.
