So I have posted this dream on the members forum:
I was at my parents' house in the neighborhood where I grew up, except the houses were all very expensive and modern. I had loaned my car to a neighbor/friend down the street. I was ready to go to school and needed my car back or to ride with a friend. I walked to the neighbors to see about my car. The woman I loaned it to said that she had loaned it to a friend of mine, Mike, who was going to return it to me. I called my house and Pat, another friend, answered. My neighbor asked if I could fix her daughter's car. I thought maybe Mike or Pat could, so I was hollering into the telephone, "Hold onto the line, Pat, hold on." I awoke yelling those words.
So the car seemed like the important thing, as well as the thing I couldn't grasp about the dream. So maybe car is my daily activities and routines. And maybe passing the car around is about my giving of energy to things and to people, when I don't really have it to give. And someone pointed out that I needed to secure my own repairs. I have been ill recently, for about 2 months, and am still mending. And I do have a tendency to give what I can't afford to give, like as in trying to save or rescue, especially women.
Anyway, this week, my car began giving me problems. The battery seems weak. Sometimes the car dies one time, then starts the second time. I have a four door sedan, very conservative ride. Then Monday, totally inexplicably, the back side window behind me as I drive begins to leak air. Then the window begins to fall and eventually falls down all the way into the door. It's a power window, but the switch does nothing - can't even hear a motor noise like it's trying to go up. I stopped and pushed the window back up by hand, but it did not stay up. Kept falling down. And it's pretty cool here, making driving on the highway a cold experience. Finally, I taped it up, running tape between the window surface and the top of the car. It has not come down since. Of course, I can't open the door!
Well, the car dream, then the car/window problem are just too too. Don't quite know what to make of it. Let's see:
window; be seen; seen in car, falling window; falling appearance(?); it's falling behind me; my appearance is falling behind me(?); down in the door it falls; an entry to being seen(?); falling down; entering down
What?
I'd appreciate any input. Thanks,

Hi RickB,
In essence your power switch is unable to close the window to keep the cold air out or to open the window to let fresh air in. The combination seems to be 'lack of power/ energy' and 'control of boundaries/inner environment'.
Seems to fit!
But why the window behind you?
What is behind you may be what is in your past or the energy (or lack of it in this case) that 'gets behind' you to keep you going forward. What is behind you is also, normally, out of sight.
Hmm... Do you feel you may be losing the power to keep control over your personal boundaries or over your inner environment? Could this be something that has been happening for a while but you are only now becoming aware of it? (Only now seeing what is behind you?)
Just some starting thoughts ..

Continuing thoughts...
I sometimes think of what's in the back of the car, as what's in the back of the mind or subconscious. (Back seat driver) unseen energies dictating the journey.
Lets see....searching for more ideas hmmmmm, maybe needing to lose power (get ill) to see that a window of opportunity has opened deeper within..... or as JT suggests, to identify the faulty boundaries.
But you are exposed to the cold air. Have you exposed what is in the back of your mind lately? Is it making you feel a little insecure, the car is not totally secure now is it. Masking things up, does not security make.
Good news is - you can get a new battery/starter motor and also fix the window so you can have it open or closed, as you please, when you please. (MY car recently got a new more powerful motor - even better than before.)
Bottom line, you may be getting another opportunity to heal past wounds that have created leaky (breezy) boundaries.

Yes, boundaries. Had a talk with someone this morning about boundaries. Which dovetails with what has been posted in the member's forum about self-care/love. And inner boundaries, especially, Jane.
I want to sit with this a day or two. May post in member's with the digested piece.
Thanks, Jane and Beth.

WHAT IS SYNCHRONICITY?
________
Synchronicity occurs when you experience a coincidence, or several coincidences, that seem so bizarre that you feel they must be meaningful in some way. Some people believe that synchronicities are signs to follow, to lead you to where you are 'meant' to be. My understanding, however, is that not all synchronicities are to be followed, because ... Synchronicities are SYMBOLS of where you're at, not signs to follow.
Synchronicities speak the same symbolic language as dreams. When you experience a synchronicity, you are witnessing a change within yourself, an insight, a birth of something that has been unconscious bubbling up into consciousness. At such times of change we see, all around us, symbols that reflect our shift in perception and self-understanding. This is synchronicity. To understand this fully, and to see why it is not always appropriate to follow synchronicity, you can read my book, THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME. This way you can also discover how to read the synchronicities in your life and how to act on them in positive, life-enhancing ways.
Reality may never feel the same again!
______
P.S.
In Jungian terms all synchronicities begin with a dream. The dream comes first, then the symbol from the dream appears in waking life in ways that seem incredibly meaningful - though, classically, it is hard to understand, consciously, what that meaning is.
This is because the dream is painted by your unconscious mind in advance of your conscious mind 'catching up'. When the insight (unconscious shift) is big, synchronicities follow. What happens is that your incredibly powerful unconscious mind (far more powerful than your conscious mind) manifests its insight physically into your waking life. (You have changed - the world, as you experience it, changes in accordance.)
It usually takes up to a couple of weeks before your conscious mind understands the symbolic dream manifesting in your waking life as synchronicity.
Being human, as we all are, we often forget the original dream but still experience the synchronicities.
There are many excellent reference sources on Jungian synchronicity.
My approach is largely Jungian, but slightly shifted.
Again, if you are seriously in-depth interested, I suggest you read my book "THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME" to understand where I am coming from.
Quite simply, synchronicity is a waking dream and interpreting it as such is immensely enriching.
